The Inside - You Can Still Catch Up

| | Comments (9)

theinside_gallery.jpgNow that I've got the drama that is Opera out of my system I can get back to the joyful act of writing about The Inside.

This episode wasn't quite as good as the others so far. That said, there are some things that are intensely enjoyable about it, not least Katie Finneran and Adam Baldwin getting very very gratifying moments.

And of course a post cannot go by without my mentioning how lovingly the show presents Rachel Nichols - though in this episode it wasn't quite as fluent, and wasn't quite as rigorous as it has been. Much too much of a concept episode - particularly in establishing the premise of the show - but those are normally the episodes they just have to get out of their system before they move on.

Whatever it is, if you're not already watching it, you must be waiting for me to mercilessly mock you into doing so. Anyway, I like making things just that bit easier, so even if you've missed the first two, you can still catch up.

Edit: Apparently the ratings aren't getting any better, basically getting creamed by Dancing With The Stars, and below even that of the reruns. I don't know what it bodes, but they're showing back to back episodes of it next week, July 6th.

Jesus Christ, you require people to register before posting? No wonder there aren't any comments! Anyway, nice site. I was looking for Dancing with the Stars ed2k links, but whatever. Nice gesture to provide subtitle links while you're at it.

Well, you can't imagine the amount of comment spam I used to get, so yes, I require people to register with TypeKey - which means you can comment on any TypePad or Movable Type blog from now on.

Re: Dancing with the Stars, I suggest you have a look at the torrents, which are readily available. However, if you still want the ed2k links, here they are:

Dancing With The Stars-Series-Premiere.avi

Dancing_with_the_Stars-Episode-2.avi

Dancing_with_the_Stars-Episode-3.avi

You should just try searching Kad in eMule next time.

But yes, the subtitles thing is a public service, since so many people come here looking for them.

Oh, but you should watch The Inside on TV (or download the older ones first - links above), since you're already downloading Dancing... :)

Hey thanks. Actually I already had the first 3 episodes, but I was looking for #4, and now #5 too. Apparently whoever was sharing them stopped at #3. Damn!

It took me a while to figure out that you were referring to Dancing rather than The Inside, which only just aired its (extremely good) 4th episode. But yes, now that Dancing has bitten the dust online, it's time to watch Wednesday's *other* white meat :D.

Dancing With The Stars ep 4 is out on Torrentspy. If you're patient, it'll show up on ed2k soon enough.

Thanks for the heads up. It's not on emule yet, and I don't have BT, but I'll keep an eye on the Kad search.

I wonder if BT is worth downloading. I've only ever used emule, and never bothered looking elsewhere.

I could do a much longer post on the benefits of each, but the fact is that I use both for different things, and what you want is available on one and not the other right now, so you can see where I'm going with this. BT is wonderful for many things, though I'd never chuck eMule - all of which will become clear with more experience. And really, if you're an eMule user, BT should be a cinch. If you're wondering which client to get, I'd recommend trying out the original client, or ABC, though more advanced users understandably gravitate towards Azureus.

Holy crap I've been missing out. I've never gotten speeds like that on the mule. Although I see what you mean - torrentspy doesn't have most of the stuff I can find w/ ed2k

Louis lives to serve :). If you're looking for a small (now slightly outdated) list of BT sites, other than Torrentspy, have a look at this post. Another convenient list is here. So yes, speed and immediacy (newest releases) are the trade-offs you get for depth and breadth. Let it not be said that I don't treat my commenters well :)
